26. February 2018 Press Release

Launch of payment system onetwopay

Payment by app now available at pilot customer ESV Kaufbeuren - Easy payment app for stadiums, event venues, or chain restaurant’s.

Pay in the stadium – without cash! With the first rollout at the erdgas schwaben arena in Kaufbeuren, in-tech launched the new payment system onetwopay. The fans of the second league hockey team ESVK can now pay quickly, securely and easily by app in the stadium. At the kiosks, fans scan a QR code displayed at the checkout with their smartphone and then pay with just one click. “onetwopay is a simple and individual payment solution for sports stadiums, event venues or chain restaurants “, explains in-tech CEO Christian Wagner. “With very little investment, these operators can offer their customers secure and cashless payment via app – in an individually branded app, which can also contain additional functions if required.”

Saving of time for more game enjoyment
Cashless payment in the stadium – this trend is becoming increasingly popular among sports fans. The reason: No annoying lines at the points of sale, faster processing and payment and guests have more time for the essentials – the game itself. ESV Kaufbeuren also wanted to introduce cashless payments in the erdgas schwaben arena, which was newly opened at the end of 2017. However, the prepaid credit cards used in many other stadiums did not convince the ESVK officials: complicated card loading, expensive infrastructure – a more modern and simpler solution was required.
With the ESVK as a pilot customer, in-tech started the development of a user-friendly payment app – the result was onetwopay as an individualized solution that can also be transferred to other operators. “We are very pleased about the successful cooperation with in-tech. With our new app, payment at the kiosks in the erdgas schwaben arena is now lightning fast. This significantly shortens the waiting time at the pay desks for our fans “, says ESVK Managing Director Michael Kreitl.

Pay with just one click
The first users were highly satisfied: “Just put the phone on the screen and you’re done. Easy!” an ESVK fan confirmed. When paying at the kiosk, the visitor opens the app and scans the QR code displayed at the checkout with his smartphone. This shows an order overview and the amount to be paid – and with just one click the payment process is completed.

No remaining credit
Unlike many other payment apps, it’s also easy to get started: The app “My ESVK” is available for Android and iOS and can be downloaded free of charge from the respective appstores. Before the first payment the user only has to load credit on his/her account via Paypal – immediately the app is ready for use. The highlight: unused credit can be paid out via Paypal with just one click. Even guest fans or one time visitors can thus pay cashlessly without having to sit on unused remaining credit – as is the case with card systems in many stadiums.

Security comes first
In addition, in-tech also focused on security during the payment process: before payment, the user sees in an overview what exactly is debited from his credit balance and can only then confirm the amount. No personal data is stored or transmitted. Therefore, it is not possible to deduce the identity of the users or their Paypal account.

App can also be used for other events
onetwopay is an individualizable solution: Each operator receives his own, individually branded app. In this system, payment transactions are carried out without intermediaries, directly between guest and operator. If desired, other useful additional functions can be integrated into the app (e.g. menus, live ticker or other information).
