Hannover Messe 2018: in-tech presents smartConnect

Digitization specialist uses two case studies to show how individual Industry 4.0 solutions can be quickly implemented

More efficiency, transparency and productivity in the production facility – at this year’s HANNOVER MESSE in-tech will be using the smartConnect modular system in Hall 9, Stand F81 to demonstrate how digital solutions can optimize production. With the smartConnect framework, individual Smart Factory solutions can be implemented that are tailored to customer-specific applications: Reducing downtime, decreasing scrap rates, tracking key production figures or operator support on the shop floor are just a few examples of applications. Remote service applications can also be implemented thanks to the secure software architecture. smartConnect can also be used in heterogeneous production environments and use the data from different machines.

Applications implemented with smartConnect run on Tablet, Smartphone, Smartwatch or desktop PC. Depending on customer requirements, the solution displays all important information about the production status, task lists, warnings, or important production key figures. Thanks to the modular principle, the first prototypes can be implemented quickly, so that projects can be executed in a short time. “We attach great importance to good usability and user-centered design in our solutions. This way, we always show each user exactly the information they need”, explains in-tech’s managing director, Christian Wagner. “This enables users to increase the productivity and capacity utilization of their machines and production lines”. On the basis of two customer projects, visitors to the stand will be able to see the solution in action. The practical examples are also part of the Guided Tour 1 – Industrial Automation & IT.

The Smart Factory in practice – case studies Wenzel and ASM
in-tech exclusively presents two case studies to visitors at its booth: Using the example of the measurement technology specialist Wenzel, in-tech shows how digital solutions make the machines more efficient, precise and durable. Based on the smartConnect framework, in-tech developed the “Intelligent Machine Interface” for the measurement technology products of the Bavarian family business. The solution runs on smartphone, tablet and desktop PC and provides mobile notifications and assistance functions for machine use. In addition, the application provides remote service functions for on-demand maintenance of the high-precision devices. The measuring machine manufacturer thus increases the utilization, efficiency, user-friendliness and maintainability of its systems.

in-tech developed the ASM Performance Monitor for the customer ASM. ASM is the leading supplier for for electronics production. In highly complex production environments, ASM Performance Monitor provides a user-friendly overview of all important parameters. The solution provides the production managers the targeted analysis of production processes and current key figures. This enables the operators of ASM machines to optimize their own production lines with regard to capacity and productivity. In addition, the application shows different user role’s target values and deviations for the respective important production key figures at a glance.
