We convert diesel busses to electric drive
The debate about diesel bans poses new challenges for many municipalities: What happens to diesel buses in local public transport? However, replacing existing bus fleets entirely with new electric vehicles is neither economical nor sustainable.
Retrofitting is the smart and sustainable alternative to buying new. With the e-troFit concept, we introduce an innovative and smart retrofit solution for low-floor buses: Sustainable, cost-effective and individually tailored to the operator’s requirements.
e-troFit is currently being implemented as part of a pilot project: For Stadtwerke Landshut, a diesel bus is being converted to an electric drive. Numerous other municipalities have already expressed interest. In addition, the e-troFit concept has already been awarded the German Mobility Prize .
in-tech has signed a preferred partnership with ZF Friedrichshafen AG for the market launch of e-troFit. ZF not only supplies original components for the drive, but also provides the workshop network for the conversion. Combined with in-tech’s extensive development expertise, the partnership ensures that the end result is a high-quality product comparable to a production vehicle.
etroFit will be available from the 2nd quarter of 2019.
