The Matlab Expo is started on May 10, with focus on apps, solutions and networking with MATLAB and Simulink. We will have an exhibition stand there and we will present a realtime hybrid vehicle simulation together with Tesis. This simulation is capable of reproducing the typical vehicle conditions and modes in a 3D animation, as well as on a real i8 control unit. The Tesis simulation environment DYNA4 Advanced Powertrain is running on our orangeHiL system.
In addition, our HiL expert Florian Amper will deliver a presentation at 05:30 PM on “efficient HiL solutions with a distributed, modular structure based on Simulink realtime”.
This presentation is about an efficient alternative in the field of hardware in the loop (HiL) validation based on Simulink Real-Time™, particularly for single ECUs or smaller systems. It turned out that a residual bus simulation is not enough anymore, particularly in the validation process of simpler and smaller control units. At the same time, common HiL systems are often oversized and thus not cost-efficient. The orangeHiL was developed as an alternative for such applications and can be integrated easily and seamlessly into a variety of tool chains and it can be adapted easily to certain requirements. Its comprehensive application possibilities are therefore displayed by means of different practical applications in the field of electric/electronics, such as validation of an instrument cluster or a load test station for a central control unit.
