in-tech acquires I2SE

market leader in electric vehicle communication

in-tech has taken over the powerline expert I2SE. This is a step forward in in-tech’s commitment to electromobility and charging infrastructure.

I2SE develops hardware and software for powerline communication – for example for building automation, smart home or the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The Leipzig-based development company is the market leader in communication modules for charging stations. I2SE products are used in charging stations worldwide. I2SE is also the first supplier to offer products that support the newly developed ISO15118 (Road vehicles – Vehicle to grid communication interface).

“The I2SE solutions perfectly complement our portfolio,” says Andreas Hager, Head of the New Mobility Solutions business unit at in-tech. “We work on innovative solutions for electric mobility, such as retrofit kits for busses and trucks. But our commitment does not end with the vehicle: The appropriate charging infrastructure – from charging station to smart home or smart grid – plays a decisive role on the way to electromobility”. The embedded solutions from I2SE form a decisive piece of the puzzle.

in-tech has acquired 100% of the shares in I2SE. The previous owner and CEO Carsten Ziermann will remain on board as Managing Director. In addition, Andreas Hager will join the management board.
